The Gateway Arch, or Gateway to the West Arch, designed by Eero Saarinen 1947 is one of the most significant monuments of the city of St. Louis. Relive the epic expedition of Lewis and Clark at the point from which it departed to the Pacific. It is part of the Jefferson National Memorial, whose park designed by Dan Kiley repeatedly expand and modify associated landscaping, finishing the set in 1965. The treatment of space is characterized by the division of land into four quarters that reforestarían.
